Privacy Policy

Nexidy ("Nexidy", "we", "us") operates nexidy.ai; nexidy.com and our other domains redirect to it. We do DevOps for PostgreSQL and MySQL and the servers they run on. For anything in this policy, write to contact@nexidy.ai. We answer in writing.

Who we are

Nexidy is a sole proprietorship: Hamed Kabir, trading as Nexidy, in California, United States.

This policy covers the personal data we process when you visit this site or contact us, and the data of the retired nexidy.com forum. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). It does not cover sites we link to but do not control.

What we collect, and why

Server logs. Our web server records the technical data every browser sends: IP address, browser version, the pages requested and when. We use it to operate the site and to detect and defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Logs rotate on a short schedule and are not used to profile visitors.

No forms, no accounts. nexidy.ai has no forms, no sign-up and no accounts. It runs no analytics and loads no scripts.

Correspondence. If you email us, we process your address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Our mail runs on Google Workspace, and an AI model provider processes the messages we receive to help us read them and draft our replies.

The retired forum. The nexidy.com forum is closed to the public. Its member accounts (username, email address, a hashed password, and the IP addresses used at registration and posting) and its posts are kept privately. They are not published and not sold. We use them only inside Nexidy, to study how the forum was used and to show a private demonstration of the old site (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest). A member can ask for their account data to be deleted at any time.

Who receives data

We do not sell personal data, run no advertising networks, and use no data brokers or analytics trackers. Data reaches only the processors that run our systems: Hetzner (server hosting, EU), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN and security), Google (email) and an AI model provider (reading, analysing and drafting with the correspondence and records we give it, US). Each processes data on our instructions under data-processing terms. Beyond that, data leaves us only where the law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c)) or where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f)).

International transfers

Where a processor handles data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer rests on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as its purpose requires: logs rotate on a short schedule, correspondence is kept as long as the matter it concerns, and the retired forum's data is kept as described above until a member asks for theirs to be deleted. Longer storage happens only where a statutory duty requires it or a legal claim makes it necessary.

Automated decision-making

No automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

Your rights

To exercise any of these, email contact@nexidy.ai. These rights can be limited in narrow cases, for instance where fulfilling a request would expose someone else's data or delete records we must keep; if so, we will say so.

Security

All traffic is TLS-encrypted, passwords are stored hashed, the servers are firewalled and key-access only, and we collect little in the first place.

Children

This site is aimed at people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a site places in your browser so it can recognise you between requests. nexidy.ai sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, our security and delivery layer, may set one strictly necessary cookie, __cf_bm, for about 30 minutes, to tell people from bots. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so the site shows no cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices or the law change, and change the date at the top when we do. Questions, corrections or complaints: contact@nexidy.ai. The Terms of Service and the legal page cover the rest.
